Reporting Structure
The Construction Manager works in partnership with assigned project developers and reports to the Senior Construction Manager and/or other individuals as future assigned.
The Construction Manager works in partnership with SHP developers and collaboratively with Senior Housing Partners staff, Site Leaders, stakeholders, vendors, and functional directors of assigned areas of accountability.
ResponsibilitiesThe Construction Manager provides leadership and oversight for multiple construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed quality and safety standards. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of project execution while acting as a key liaison between stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
With a focus on effective communication and teamwork, the Construction Manager drives project success by fostering collaboration and resolving challenges. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple construction projects from inception to completion.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with quality and safety standards.Act as the owner’s primary construction representative, collaborating with developers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address issues.Prepare and present project updates, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.Manage change orders, ensure schedule adherence, and oversee project closeout processes.Organize and maintain project documentation for future reference.Facilitate post-construction activities, including warranty follow-ups and operational training. Qualifications A bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering or relevant field required 5+ years as a Construction or Project Manager on multifamily or senior housing projects, with expertise in wood frame, podium, masonry, and steel-frame construction. Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and other industry-standard tools. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. Team-oriented, self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset, high integrity, and passion for achieving ambitious goals. Willingness to travel 20-30% both in and out of state. Experience with wood frame, podium, stick build, masonry, and other various build types. A demonstrated understanding of multifamily construction means and methods. Ability to work a flexible schedule, understanding that workdays may vary according to staffing and property needs. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities within established deadlines.
