The Construction Manager will direct and plan enterprise construction projects and oversee their progress from conception to completion in a timely, cost-effective manner while following all compliance and safety regulations. (S)he will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of projects including reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
\nEssential Duties:
\n\nManages and directs full project lifecycle from initial project planning phases through completion of construction\nCollaborates with project stakeholders to create project plans, monitor budget, develop schedules, and staff appropriately\nCoordinates and directs construction workers\nOversees all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations\nMeets contractual conditions of performance\nMonitors construction progress against timelines, budgets and schedules\nPrepares internal and external reports pertaining to project status\nPlans ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones\nCoordinates project resources; selects proper project tools, materials, and equipment; and tracks inventory\nNegotiates terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtains permits and licenses\nAnalyzes, manages, and mitigates risks\nEnsures quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques\nOther duties as assigned\n\nQualifications:
\n\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred\n10+ years experience in Construction or related field\nProven working experience in construction management\nAdvanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods\nExpert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards\nUnderstanding of all facets of the construction process\nFamiliarity with construction management software packages\nAbility to plan and see the “big picture”\nCompetent in conflict and crisis management\nExcellent time and project management skills\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evening shifts, weekends, and holiday\n\n\n
