Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Manager to join our Project Management and Construction Management (PMCM) team on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing:Develop detailed project plans and schedules.
Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities .
Ensures effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
Oversee all on-site construction activities.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Manage site logistics, including the coordination of subcontractors and suppliers.
Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements.
Ensure optimal use of labor and materials to control costs.
Conducts performance evaluations and recommends promotions and salary actions.
Keeps alert to possible problem areas and takes preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets specifications and standards.
Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during construction.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and manage project risks to minimize impact on project delivery.
Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Provide regular updates on project status, including progress reports and any issues encountered.
Facilitate meetings and discussions to resolve project-related concerns.
Lead and motivate the construction team.
Provide guidance and support to site supervisors and other team members.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
What Required Skills You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of +15 years of experience in a construction management role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software and construction management tools.
