Air Products seeks a Construction Manager supporting our HyCO Turnaround team who embodies a safety-first mentality, takes ownership for getting results with experience in managing contractor oversite, progress reporting, and turnover meetings. Required Skills / Abilities:

Strong industrial construction management experience of large multi discipline sites.

Strong and effective leader and coordinator.

Work requires working from heights, climbing fixed ladders, and stairs, etc. 

Organized, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks.

Ability to understands quality standards as outlined by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Provide contractor field management in all phases for assigned contractors, including safety, timesheet verification, field oversight, change orders, and QC Verification.

Complete Material Take-Offs for requisitioning/ purchasing purposes (includes field verification)

Create detailed planning activities in P6 for each work order utilizing planning templates as applicable.  Activities include individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline.  Generate mechanical job packages if required, including pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.

Overall responsibility for safety on the constructions site. Leading Safety Meetings & Tool Box Discussions. Participate in Safe Work Permitting Process with Operations. Completion of Safe Work Audits

Provide Daily Schedule Updates during Outage Execution

Successful execution of all the site construction work in accordance with the project schedule, cost and other KPIs.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

Ability to read and understand P&IDs, ISO’s, piping isometrics, fixed equipment design packages, and pipe specs.

Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook) OneNote, SAP, Primavera P6.

Experience with a variety of heavy equipment, especially cranes, preferred.

Experience with piping design and understanding of ASME B31.1 and ASME B31.3

10+ years’ experience in maintenance and/or engineering disciplines, preferably with experience in industrial outages, exchangers, pumps, hydrotesting and pipe fabrication.

Technical, Engineering, or Construction Management degree a plus, but not required

Work Hours

The position is resident based

A minimum of 50% Travel

Outdoor Industrial Work Environment

The ability to work from home when not on assignment
