JMT is seeking a Construction Manager who will be responsible for managing construction inspection business in an assigned region.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
+ Supporting the management and growth of JMT’s Construction Services Business in New Jersey with clients including NJDOT, NJTA, toll agencies, counties and municipalities
+ Responsible for marketing and business development for transportation construction projects
+ This job will require work in the office and work in the field, as determined by the individual project, client, and office needs
+ Manages contracts, including invoicing and financial management
+ Responsible for project QA/QC in the assigned region
+ Maintains and builds client relationships
+ Assists in preparation of technical and price proposals
+ Interviews and recommends employees for hire, trains, develops, and conducts performance reviews for staff
+ Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team
Nonessential functions and responsibilities:
+ Assists design disciplines with constructability questions/issues
+ Perform other related duties as assigned
Required SkillsRequired Experience
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 15+ years of experience working in construction management and inspection
Preferred Experience
+ Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or Construction Management
+ Professional Engineering license or NICET IV
+ Experience working with local clients
Working Conditions:
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
Daily travel required to project sites and meetings. Attendance is expected at some nighttime professional meetings.
