The Construction Manager will manage all activities related to renovations, moves , subcontractor management , customer relations, cost, schedule and performance on a Chenega Architecture & Design Solutions project located in Greece, South Korea and other locations Responsibilities Oversees construction sites, subcontractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safety. Creates and reviews Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal and Change Orders. Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals and procedures. Ensures that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices. Provides technical support to Project Managers. Develops and maintains project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records. Performs change order estimating and assists the Project Manager in change order negotiations. Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals. Assists in managing and reviewing the progress of contractors’ construction schedules. Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes. Schedule and conduct joint pre-final and final inspections of the work to ensure construction is free of any contract deficiencies. Maintain a status listing of any deficiencies outstanding at the time of turnover. Monitor correction of deficiencies. Manage day to day on site activities in close coordination with the customer Review construction plans and specifications with thorough knowledge of the contract requirements on each definable feature of work and recommend changes or corrective action as necessary. Review the updated construction progress schedule with the progress payment to verify the schedule is accurate and, if necessary, identify corrective action to regain schedule. Interpret contract documents and determine whether construction meets contract requirements. Review and verify all requests for progress payments accurately and represent work satisfactorily completed prior to invoicing. Schedule and conduct joint pre-final and final inspections of the work to ensure construction is free of any contract deficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 10+ year experience as a Construction Manager 5+ years’ experience as a Construction Manager on U.S. Federal Contracts 5+ years’ experience as a Construction Manager on U.S. Federal Contracts OCONUS Extensive technical and practical knowledge, and experience as a Construction Manager Knowledge and experience with applicable Codes and Industry Standards Secret Clearance required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must possess a keen understanding of schedules utilizing network analysis and the potential impact of modifications to the critical path Experience with Department of Energy Projects preferred Ability to obtain interim secret clearance Thorough knowledge of construction practices and methods as well as construction management Ability to review technical engineering specifications and statements of work covering complex and diverse engineering designs or changes In depth knowledge of the various types of construction contracts, project delivery methods, and regulations governing Federal contract administration Able and willing to traverse on construction jobsites (approximately 75% or more of the time) Able to communicate (both orally and in writing) effectively to all leadership levels Knowledge of EM 385-1-1, US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Safety and Health Requirements Manual Ability to prepare cost estimates and assist in negotiations of change orders when requested Knowledge of computer operations and software applications such as MS office (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point), Primavera P6 How you’ll grow At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
