Construction Manager- Wastewater

As a Construction Manager, you’ll be focused on supporting the delivery of water and wastewater construction projects. You will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of a team of onsite support personnel and subcontractors. Additionally, you’ll support management of the construction team, project budgets, scheduling, coordination of work, reporting and leading on-site meetings with staff, subcontractors, and the client in accordance with the requirements specified in the contract documents. You’ll be the primary point of contact for the client. Also, as construction manager, you’ll have accountability for delivering a construction project within the contracted scope, schedule, and budget. We’ll rely on your demonstrated experience in delivering projects, winning work, and collaborating with others to strengthen our market growth. We will look to you to provide technical leadership and oversee all aspects of water construction of infrastructure projects, quality of engineering work performed, and client satisfaction. You will act as a mentor to aid in the growth of our junior staff. Your expertise will be utilized as you work closely with Jacobs Client Account Managers and Operations teams in pursuit of water opportunities in the area. This will be accomplished by advancing long-term existing relationships with water clients in Northern California, leading the development of execution strategies, and supporting proposal and presentation preparation activities. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Manage staff providing infrastructure construction inspection, testing, and quality assurance activities. * Serve as the infrastructure representative coordinating with the project and design teams, providing leadership and direction through the duration of construction, including quality oversight of contractor’s QA/QC program, developing punch list, substantial completion checklists, tracking and scheduling of acceptance inspection and commissioning, project close-out and turnover of projects to clients. * Perform additional responsibilities as primary client contact for all project-field activities, lead progress meetings, and provide weekly status to client and project managers for infrastructure and other projects as needed. * Review and provide recommendations on monthly payment applications, change order reviews, and negotiations. * Implement schedule, cost, quality communication, and decision-making information tools and processes across the project. * Support the project management leadership team to establish schedule control, cost control, change management, risk management, and reporting tools. * Actively manage and report on the status of the construction schedule, quality, and budget. Pave the way for your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed - today and into tomorrow. * Bachelor's Degree or related experience in lieu of education * 10+ years of experience in construction/management/inspection. * Knowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications; associated safety requirements. * Knowledge of California Building Codes * Able and willing to work flexible hours to support the Project needs. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs * Must have a valid drivers license and good driving history Ideally, you’ll also have: * Have or are working towards a profession engineering (PE) certification * Have or are working toward a certified construction manager (CCCM) certification #WestPMCM Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
