From construction management and observation/inspection services to laboratory testing and materials and forensic engineering, our Construction Services market helps to develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.  Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder's Dallas, Texas office is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician IV to join our growing team. With a steady and growing backlog of work, we are excited to find the right person to join our growing Dallas Area team.  We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in in joining a dynamic team and building their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing. We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field, to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. The construction materials testing technician will interact daily with owner and contractor teams to inspect active work projects, will prepare daily reports and data sheets, and may be called upon to perform various tasks to meet our client project goals. 

The ideal candidate for this role of Construction Inspector IV should have the following certifications or experience (or able to obtain within first 3 months):

5+ years of special inspection and/or construction materials testing experience.Radiation safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge.ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1.ICC Reinforced Concrete Valid driver's license and clean driving recordUse a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).High school diploma or equivalent.A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity.Ability to monitor contractors and report results verbally and in writing.Proficiency in preparing clear and accurate detailed reports of testing and inspection activities and maintaining work activity records.Attention to detail, quality, and safety.Authorization to work in the United States.

 

In addition to the above required certifications, hiring preference will be given to those with any of the following desired certifications:

Texas DOT testing/inspection certificationsICC Special Inspector Certifications (Pre-stressed Concrete, Soil, Spray-applied Fireproofing, Structural Masonry, Structural Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting)Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - American Welding Society (AWS). Must be able to use a computer and a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook software is required. Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
