Job Title: Construction Materials Testing Technician
Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Testing Technician to join their Building & Construction team. The successful candidate will support major client projects by performing a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties. This role involves operating testing equipment, conducting tests such as soil and concrete tests, and providing data assessments through reporting. You will work with drawings, specifications, and diagrams, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule.

ResponsibilitiesArrive on the site early and connect with the General Contractor to communicate plans for the day.Review plans and understand where to start, the current project status, and any special considerations.Take initiative to complete tasks without being asked when necessary.Perform soil and concrete tests and operate testing equipment.Provide data assessments through detailed reporting.Work with drawings, specifications, and diagrams.Coordinate daily activities with the General Contractor to ensure all tasks are efficiently handled.Essential Skills2+ years of field and/or laboratory construction materials experience.ACI Certification.ICC Certification or soils experience.Ability to operate testing equipment.Basic math, calculator, and computer skills.Ability to read and understand work plans.Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).Solid interpersonal skills.Ability to work off-shift and overtime as needed.Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with nuclear gauge.Additional CMT certifications (ACI/ICC/GDOT) are highly preferred.Proficiency in delivering accurate results on time.Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position based in Kennesaw, Georgia. The Building & Construction team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services along with building science solutions to ensure Total Quality Assurance in the built environment. You will primarily work on-site, coordinating daily activities with the General Contractor, and ensuring all tasks align with industry standards.
