Job Description
An emerging engineering firm in the NC Marketplace is looking for Civil Engineers, Geotechnical and/or Construction Services professionals to join the team as Engineering Technicians/Field Technicians. This person will be working out of the Triad market, helping to build their career and contributing to the reputation and growth of the Triad office.
ResponsibilitiesVisit job sites and construction sites to gather samples of soils and concrete.Conduct field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil, aggregates, and asphalt.Test materials in the field or gather and transport materials back to the office/laboratory for testing.Perform soil, concrete, masonry, and asphalt inspections.Essential SkillsACI Certification is preferred and required.High attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Willingness to submit to MVR test (for company vehicle use).Previous experience in labor or field roles such as landscaping, farming, construction labor, or field service work.Ability to read and write reports.Ability to work independently.Additional Skills & QualificationsACI and ICC certifications are a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Work Environment
The individual will initially ride with a team member to job sites for the first few months until up to speed, after which a company truck will be provided for travel to assigned job sites. The majority of the work will be outdoors and involve driving to various job sites or the shop. Job sites are typically construction sites that have just begun the building process.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
