Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking an individuals to work in our Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Department. \n

Responsibilities:\n\nAccurately performing various construction materials tests in accordance with applicable standards.\nPerform equipment calibrations.\nCompile lab results and complete lab reports for clients.\nAbility to obtain additional ACI, ICC and NCDOT certifications with training.\n\n

Skills and Qualifications:\n\nHigh School diploma with 0-2 years (Field Tech I) 2-5 years (Field Tech II) of experience performing laboratory testing of various materials.\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Dropbox and\/or OneDrive.\nAbility to work independently, use own judgment and make decisions.\nGood written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to perform required testing and maintain detailed reports.\nMust have the ability to bend, stoop, kneel and twist, use hands to grasp and arms to reach, to raise hands above head, to sit, climb and balance and to work in confined spaces and heights with adequate vision to perform tasks.\nMust be able to lift and carry up-to 50 pounds, on occasion.\nValid Driver's license with good driving record and ability to drive.\n\n

Desired Skills and Qualifications:\n\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management or equivalent.\nPrior experience working with construction, inspections or material testing.\nUnderstanding of various laboratory testing.\n\n

Certifications (Desired) \n\nACI\/NCDOT Concrete Field Testing\nSoils Certification (ICC, NICET, WACEL, NCDOT, SCDOT)\nACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1\n\n
