Job Description

Join our Building & Construction team as a Field Technician II to support major client projects. You will perform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties. Your role involves operating testing equipment, conducting tests such as soil and concrete tests, and providing data assessments through reporting. You will work with drawings, specifications, and diagrams, ensuring all tasks are completed as per the set schedule. Daily, you will coordinate with the General Contractor to understand the day's scope and ensure all work tasks are efficiently handled.

ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties.Operate testing equipment and conduct soil and concrete tests.Provide data assessments through reporting.Work with drawings, specifications, and diagrams.Ensure all tasks are completed as per the set schedule.Coordinate daily with the General Contractor to understand the day's scope and handle work tasks efficiently.Make detailed observations and provide limited interpretation of results.Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.Operate a calculator to calculate mathematical test results.Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.Adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety and the safety of others.Essential Skills2+ years of CMT experience (field and/or laboratory construction materials experience).ACI Certification.ICC Certification or Soils Experience.Ability to operate testing equipment.Basic math, calculator, and computer skills.Ability to read and understand work plans.Effective communication skills (written, verbal, listening).Solid interpersonal skills.Ability to work off-shift and overtime as needed.Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.Additional Skills & QualificationsACI/ICC/GDOT Certifications are highly preferred.External or task-related certifications based on region and state may be required.Experience with soil sampling, concrete testing, and using nuclear gauge for soil compaction and density.Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in Kennesaw, Georgia. The team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services along with building science solutions to ensure Total Quality Assurance in the built environment. You will primarily work on-site, coordinating daily activities with the General Contractor, and ensuring all tasks align with the architectural, engineering, and construction industry's standards. The workday starts at the job site at the designated time (Day Shift). You will connect with the General Contractor to understand the day's schedule and take care of all tasks. At the end of the day, you will check in with the General Contractor and confirm work completion with the team. This role offers a company vehicle with a gas card and travel time pay from portal to portal (office to job site). Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
