Job Description
We are seeking motivated candidates for a Construction Observer to provide field service support for a growing portfolio of PV infrastructure. The candidate will cover a region of operation and handle multiple project sites, assisting Construction Superintendents. The candidate must have the ability to travel from site to site in their operational area. The Construction Observer may also be called on to assist in site walks and quality inspections as directed by the Senior Construction Superintendent or the Director of Construction.
ResponsibilitiesEnforce safety and regulatory policies and proceduresMeasure productivity standards for contractors and subcontractorsAssist Construction Superintendents in developing a 3-week look-ahead schedule and work with the project team to ensure the schedule is metRecord deliveries and verify quantity countReview plans and specificationsComplete administration tasks given by the project teamConduct on-site inspections, including civil, safety, mechanical, and electrical inspectionsAssist with on-site repairs to project sitesEnsure site cleanlinessEssential SkillsInterest in Solar and Construction ManagementPositive, can-do attitudeStrong communication skillsComputer literacyTechnical aptitudeProven commitment to job assignmentsAbility to work well independently and within a teamAdditional Skills & QualificationsNo experience required for this role; training provided through the Clean Energy Catalyst programWork Environment
On-site 5 days a week. Local travel only, within 1 to 1.5 hours from home, ideally closer. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in renewable energy and construction management, with potential to move into a superintendent role or other positions based on the experience gained
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
