About being our Project Engineer\n

Psomas' Bay Area Regional Construction Management (CM) Team specializes in managing the construction of heavy civil, public works infrastructure projects - primarily upgrades and expansions to wastewater\/water treatment plants, recycled water facilities, pipelines, and pump stations. As our Project Engineer you will coordinate with owners, designers, contractors, regulatory agencies and our CM staff. You'll manage construction documentation, support issue resolution, prepare status reports, supervise field staff, and support labor compliance efforts. This opening is to initially support assignments in the South Bay, where our team is managing multiple heavy civil projects over the next several years. Future assignments may vary in scope, complexity, and size. You may support projects with a combination of civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural elements. Candidates must be able to make the daily commute.\n

Responsibility Highlights for our Project Engineer\n\nDaily interactions\/coordination with owner, designer, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies\nManaging the construction documentation process including RFIs, submittals, change management, estimating, scheduling, and reporting\nSupporting efforts with the contractor and designer to resolve construction related issues and changes\nFacilitating project delivery with the resolution of project issues in a fair and firm manner\nPreparing daily and weekly project status reports as well as oversight of field inspection daily reports\nCoordinating and supervising field construction management staff and their activities with other Psomas\/Owner sub-consultants as directed\nSupport project labor compliance efforts \n\n

Minimum Qualifications to be our Project Engineer\n\nBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline\nMinimum of 3 years of related work experience including managing the construction or being involved with the engineering design of wastewater treatment facilities, public works infrastructure, and heavy civil projects\nEngineer In Training (EIT) certification\nKnowledge of the construction process and the ability to read, understand, and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision and manage deadlines\nAbility to work on an active construction site, including walking over uneven terrain, climbing ladders, crawling, stooping and entering confined spaces, being outdoors in inclement weather, wearing proper safety equipment, and practicing industry safety protocols\n\n

Preferred Qualifications for our Project Engineer\n\nActive California Professional Engineering (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)\n\n

The expected range for this position is $93,000 - $145,600\/salary depending on experience
