We are seeking a Project Engineer who will serve as a key resource with a comprehensive understanding of contract requirements, plans, specifications, and project schedules. The ideal candidate will establish and maintain clear procedures with design professionals, consultants, owners, and trade partners for effective information flow, approvals, meetings, reporting, and applications for payment.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain clear procedures with design professionals, consultants, owners, and trade partners for information flow, approvals, meetings, reporting, and applications for payment.Conduct thorough construction document reviews, identify constructability and quality control concerns, and resolve issues with contractors and design professionals.Participate in preparing project studies, material and method recommendations, and cost estimates.Prepare procurement schedules and coordinate timely buyouts of materials.Schedule, conduct, and document job meetings, owner-architect coordination meetings, and more.Work with design professionals to clarify design requirements to ensure trade partner understanding of project scopes, risks, and timelines.Manage the trade partner change order process, including reviewing estimates, negotiating changes, and obtaining owner approvals.Manage project close-out, including securing warranties, guarantees, acceptance of work, trade partner/vendor closeout, final payment, and records.Essential SkillsCivil construction experience preferred, not required1 to 3 years of experienceBachelor's and/or Associate's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferredRecruiter: Eisen Hardy - 614/551/9192 - 'ehardy@actalentservices.com'Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.85
