Are you an experienced Construction Project Manager with 10 years of experience? Sodexo is proud to partner with Keiser University's Flagship Campus in beautiful West Palm Beach, FL. in the Ground Up Build for two 5-story student housing buildings. We need an experienced Construction Project Manager 2 to provide full management of the large-scale projects in synch with the university schedule and priorities. Our professionally polished leader will partner with and oversee our Construction Manager 1. Expertise in construction management software similar to Procore is required. The Construction Project Manager 2 interacts with planning commissions and governing bodies, and coordinates permits, costing estimation, contract negotiation and vendor activities. Experience in the full management of Construction Projects up to $30M in value is required. 

 

Bachelor's degree in construction management, Design or Engineering is preferred and experience Budgeting, Our solution-oriented leader will earn our client partner's trust and follow up upon completion of projects and have strong design experience. Our final candidate will have experience developing scope of work and communicating complex projects to our client partners to achieve excellent customer satisfaction. 

 

Your leadership will drive decisions based on data and changing needs, and by building and maintaining strong client relationships to promote the Clients for Life philosophy. You will organize and direct construction personnel and ensures that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time.  Our leader is accountable for the performance and results of a team and will adapt plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. The Construction Project Manager’s decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plans. Provides technical and professional guidance to employees, colleagues and the client. 

 

Key Responsibilities

10 years of experience managing renovation and new construction projects up to $30M in value Procore or similar construction management software expertiseNegotiate, prepare and issues subcontractsEnsure subcontractors understand expectations of the projectsHold self and others accountable for meeting key project metricsReview, interprets and acts within contract Terms and ConditionsEarn our client partners trust them and follow up upon completion of projectsCommunicate positive and realistic expectations to the project team and clientDevelop project schedules and executes according to plan for assigned projectsActs as the primary onsite project leader for execution teams on assigned projectsDevelop cost estimates and sub-contractor scope documents and solicitations for bidsEffectively communicates project progress, issues and financial status to management as requiredManage risks and establish project recovery plans when required, resolves disputes independentlyEnsure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and Sodexo standardsOversee project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes and installation techniquesDevelop and maintain viable long-term relationships with consultants, prime contractors and subcontractorsManage the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assignedPerform cost estimates, prepares proposals and negotiates final settlement price and customer acceptanceEvaluate contractual scope of work and impact of client issued bulletins, directives and scheduling changes  Ensure engineering and commissioning performed by field team is in accordance with established standardsAnalyze construction budget reporting systems and project schedules to avoid delays and potential problems

Bachelor's degree in construction management, Design or Engineering is preferredExperience Budgeting, Estimating and Scheduling Construction Projects General Contractor or other licensure and credentialing Ability to effectively communicate up and down the spectrumDemonstrated high level of verbal and written communication skills Construction experience in food service in and university environments Strong Personal Computer working capabilities (Excel, Word, Power Point)The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesMust have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audienceProficient in Project Management software, and financial accounting systems is a plusAdvanced working knowledge of project scheduling and documentation techniques and processesMinimum of 1-3 years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry Construction project management experience with new construction, renovations, infrastructure renewalsExperience coordinating project activities between contractors, stakeholders, consultants and associated project teams and groups
