Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will manage subcontractor estimates and progress, provide input on pre-construction services, and work with management to secure necessary personnel and equipment resources. This role also involves managing financial aspects of contracts, developing project schedules, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely project completion.
ResponsibilitiesOversee construction projects from start to finish.Obtain subcontractor estimates and manage subcontractor progress and schedules.Provide input and supervise all pre-construction services such as purchase orders, subcontracts, schedules, job costing, and project pre-planning.Work with management to secure personnel and equipment resources required to staff projects properly.Manage financial aspects of contracts.Develop baseline project schedules.Monitor and report project cost and schedule performance, recommending corrective actions if needed.Assist the Superintendent with problem or conflict resolution.Manage the scope of work and master contract documents.Participate in project coordination meetings.Perform or direct submittals to agencies as required for construction projects.Ensure timely completion of project close-out activities.Visit project sites to observe progression.Essential SkillsProject managementConstructionConstruction managementHeavy civil construction experienceDOT experienceProject coordinationCommercial constructionSite developmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Project Management, or related field.Five years of managerial and supervisory experience in the heavy highway construction industry.Extensive knowledge of construction methods and materials, costing, scheduling, and estimating.Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.Problem analysis and resolution skills at both strategic and functional levels.Good computer skills.Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills.Strong team player.Work Environment
The work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, either in the office or at the construction site. Our company has been established for over 100 years, and we offer a beautiful, newly renovated office space, an excellent benefits package, and employee profit sharing.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $58.00/hr.
