The Construction  Project Manager contributes to AHF’s mission by delivering quality construction related product and/or services, while staying within the predefined budget and timeframe. In this role you will have the opportunity to use your technical expertise and prior experience to ultimately enhance AHF’s housing productivity and efficiency of producing low income affordable housing units.

 

This role is a challenging opportunity when it comes to working with  project teams that are compiled of many different consultants and contractors, each with their own ideas and sometimes conflicting interests.  In your role, you will act as the only member of the project team whose one main overriding interest is to execute the owners project goals and objectives for the organization. Through working together with the owner, the Construction Project Manager acts on behalf of the owner on their performance of their duties and you will make sure the project stays on track, on schedule and within the approved budget, thus allowing the organization to make informed decisions in a timely manner. The  Construction Project Manager works with various departments at AHF, and business teams, on a daily basis.

 

You will also have an opportunity to enhance your experience through developing detailed project plans, maintaining comprehensive project documentation, using appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, creating reports and escalating to management/PMO as needed. The Construction Project Manager coordinates AHF’s internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of assigned projects for the organization.

 

In this role you will work as a team player as well as an individual to evaluate and make recommendations on new products, services and systems to improve reliability, productivity and quality of AHF’s construction/housing projects
