The Work: We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our government-focused team. As a subject matter expert in construction and engineering project delivery, you will oversee the management of the Document Management Service contract under the guidance of the Facility Support Services Program Manager. In this role, you will interface with key clients, build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and support business development by preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring successful project delivery. You will work closely with the Program Manager and other Project Managers to ensure project alignment and collaborate with leadership to drive the growth and management of the program. Your goal will be to ensure financial objectives are met while maintaining high standards of project execution, client satisfaction, and operational excellence. This position is on-site with our customer in Arlington, VA. You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. Key Responsibilities: + Coordinate all activities related to the execution of the Document Management Service contract. + Plan personnel resources and manage staffing needs for assigned teams. + Prepare and deliver monthly reports on project coordination, document management, and transition progress, covering all project activities. + Organize and lead monthly document management progress meetings, ensuring agendas are prepared and minutes are provided within contractual deadlines. + Ensure staff compliance with security protocols and complete all required client training. + Provide project transition and document management expertise for all projects under the Document Management Services contract. + Facilitate compliance with safety and security directives for all assigned staff, as required by the client. + Develop reports to brief the KO, COR, and other client points of contact on contract performance. + Track and analyze metrics for data entry, file management, procedure compliance, data integrity, and deliverable submissions. + Produce weekly reports detailing construction contract submittals, correspondence, and outstanding deliverables, including tracking against project milestones and deadlines. + Oversee quality control of project-specific reports and other deliverables produced by the document management team, ensuring compliance with standards and on-time delivery. + Assign tasks, supervise staff, and manage performance to ensure efficient, cost-effective resource utilization. + Monitor operational efficiency and profitability, taking corrective action when necessary. + Develop and refine methodologies, tools, standards, and protocols to maintain industry leadership. + Engage effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. + Serve as a technical advisor and provide manager-level input and evaluation on other Chinook projects as requested. + Provide leadership to ensure that projects meet both company and client expectations. + Maintain records of deficiencies and corrective actions, delivering weekly status briefings. + Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success. + Identify and address extra work opportunities, keeping the client and management informed, and prepare estimates, sketches, and related documentation as required. + Participate in process and procedure development, company meetings, and training seminars. + Lead, mentor, and oversee the performance of assigned teams to ensure optimal resource utilization and high-quality output. + Disseminate information both in writing and verbally, explaining complex technical information clearly to engineers, contractors, and facility/owner staff across all communication platforms. + Stay informed on government regulations, construction delivery methods, and the latest construction techniques. + Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize integrated systems in aging or complex facilities. + Utilize government project submittal/review systems for accurate documentation management. + Work independently as well as part of a team while providing multi-disciplinary coordination. + Express your creativity and innovation by anticipating client needs to achieve project goals. + Lead high-performing teams and manage cross-functional collaboration to deliver results on mission-critical projects. + Build and maintain strong client relationships, manage client expectations, and act as a trusted advisor throughout project lifecycles. + Drive towards goals by expressing your expertise in managing teams, executing strategies, and achieving business objectives. + Demonstrate your strong character, reliability, punctuality, and self-motivation. + Produce high-quality, detail-oriented work products. + Use your strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. + Attend company meetings, training seminars, and other client or internal functions as needed. + Support government construction projects through proactive, high-quality service delivery. + Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: + Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture from a NAAB- or ABET-accredited university or college. + Requires at least 10 years of experience managing a minimum of three (3) construction projects valued at $4M+ annually, each spanning at least three (3) years. + Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing Federally funded government construction projects. + Must have at least 2 years of experience managing a team. + Must be proficient in the use of technology, including construction project management software and mobile devices. + Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of software is required. + A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various construction sites is required. + Must have deep knowledge of federal building codes/standards, including safety standards such as ANSI, ICC, UFC/UFGS, and UL. + Requires a strong understanding of OSHA 1926 and EM-355-1-1 Safety procedures and associated documentation. + Strong scheduling and project database management expertise is required. Citizenship/Clearance Requirements: + Applicants for employment must be U.S. Citizens and must be able to obtain and maintain up to a Top Secret clearance due to our customer requirements and the nature of the work that we do. Preferred Qualifications: + An active Secret Security Clearance. + 5 years of experience with the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS). + Experience with the Federal Facility Criteria for Department of Defense construction projects. + USACE / NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification. + Experience with Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) construction and the associated ICD/ICS 705 technical specifications. + Certifications in Construction Documentation, Project Management, or other related fields are desired. Preferred certifications include PMP, CCM, or equivalent certifications in project or construction management. Physical Considerations: + Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs., climb stairs and ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors in severe weather conditions. + Must be able to crawl to get to wherever a problem is so that you can see it for yourself. + This position requires the ability to carry up to 25 lbs., to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors in severe weather conditions. + Must be able to walk construction sites with uneven surfaces and in dust generating environments. + Applicants must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
