Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with 5-12 years of construction project management experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MEP systems for commercial construction projects and possess experience in complex commercial construction, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector. However, experience in hospital, manufacturing, medical, or cold storage construction is also valuable.
ResponsibilitiesManage small phases of construction for Life Science projects in accordance with the Project Management positions.Learn and implement the process for executing a scope of work based on the scheduling and timeline of specific projects.Utilize technical programs such as Pro-Log, Microsoft Office, and SAGE 300.Communicate effectively with clients and present project updates.Read and understand construction documents.Coordinate with subcontractors, managing up to 50 people under multiple subs when necessary.Essential Skills5-12 years of construction project management experience.Understanding of MEP systems for commercial construction projects.Experience in complex commercial construction, with a preference for pharmaceutical projects.Ability to use Microsoft Office, Pro-Log, and SAGE 300.Strong communication skills and leadership capabilities.Ability to understand and carry out direction from superiors.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree in a related field preferred.10+ years of overall construction experience.Career-minded individual interested in growing as a construction manager.Knowledge of construction management, estimation, mechanical systems, RFIs, and Procore.Work Environment
The Construction Project Manager will spend the majority of their time at the client site with 25% of their time at project sites. The company is a family-owned business with over 25 years in the industry and is a union contractor. They take excellent care of their employees, offering company picnics, lunches, and fundraisers. On-site, you will work out of a construction trailer or a specific closed-off location owned by the client. The project may involve working with one or two subcontractors or managing up to 50 people under multiple subs.
