We are looking for a driven and structured Project Manager who enjoys working independently and being part of a motivated team within an entrepreneurial culture that is fast-paced and informal. You value accountability, are motivated by delivering value through collaboration, plan integrity and sound estimates. You will be an integral part within the Construction group for NTI projects throughout North America, and will be responsible to watch over the administrative process within the project plan to include the creation of preliminary construction estimates, construction documents, contractor bidding and permitting oversight.
Responsibilities
Provide insight over the creation of preliminary site plans.Provides preliminary construction estimates using site plan, geotechnical report, SIR, survey, and historical project pricing.Participates in the weekly Real Estate meetings providing oversight on the permitting process.Provides review of the construction documents prior to submittal to City for permitting and contractor for bidding.Coordinates gathering documents for project bidding.Review bids with Construction Manager and Regional Director of Construction.Distributes weekly or bi-weekly reporting, as necessary.Updates tracking database (Smartsheets) with required dates/data provided by the Development and Construction staff.Creates and maintains Regional estimating data base across North America.Provides and maintains score sheet for tracking bid versus estimate.Improves efficiency of Construction process, by evaluating engineering system results, recommending new systems, policies, and procedures, recommending, and implementing revisions.Maintains continuity among corporate, division and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Completes operational requirements by developing schedules, assigning, and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving problems, implementing, and enforcing new procedures.Performs other job-related projects and tasks as assigned.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing all other related results as needed.Experience and Personal Qualities
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferredPrior experience of gasoline and retail construction preferredThis position requires strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at any given time.Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work well with Construction Managers, Contractors and Design Consultants, as well as with others both inside and outside the organization.Minimal travel required.Excellent communication skills.Experience from large/complex organizations.Advanced proficiency level with Microsoft applications, specifically including but not limited to: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint.Physical Demands
