Construction Project Manager
Job Title: Construction Project ManagerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing ground-up projects and tenant improvement projects. Initial projects may include a $2.4 million Grater's Ice Cream shop and an Ace Hardware interior build-out. This role requires travel to job sites in the Indianapolis market and occasional visits to the home office at the Pyramids in Indianapolis. Vehicle gas for project travel is reimbursable.

ResponsibilitiesLead project teams to ensure coordination of all site construction activities, including safety and quality, schedule maintenance, and subcontractor coordination.Assist the preconstruction team in procuring due diligence, permit approvals, and administrative controls to meet project schedules and owner goals.Engage in design review and project clarifications throughout the design process.Coordinate preconstruction activities and subcontract buyout to ensure successful trade scope execution in the field.Create and update project schedules, monitor daily progress, and coordinate the 4-Week Look Ahead schedule with subcontractors and vendors.Document and procure responses for preconstruction issues and plan clarifications.Review, document, distribute, and coordinate drawing/specification conflicts or issues.Manage cost-related tasks such as change orders, forecasting costs, monthly projections, and subcontractor and owner billings.Create, distribute, and implement completion and punch lists.Collect and organize all close-out documentation in a timely manner.Support field operations, including all phases of site construction activities.Assist with field coordination meetings, safety, cost and quality controls, scheduling, and installation methods.Assist with field logistics such as fencing, security, deliveries, signage, and temporary conditions.Ensure proper documentation and approval for material deliveries and address any non-conforming materials.Manage and administer quality control and conduct timely QC inspections.Report daily logs for work activities, deliveries, QC, and cost issues.Enforce company safety and cleanliness policies, and implement corrective measures when necessary.Perform some physical labor and use of tools, such as setting site signage and general handyman duties.Assist in field reporting such as safety audits, quality control audits, and erosion control inspections.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in light-commercial field-specific management.Experience with negotiated subcontractor agreements and contract buyout processes.Valid driver’s license.Minimum 10-hour OSHA certification preferred.Ability to read, interpret, question, and execute project plans, specifications, addenda/bulletins, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, meeting agendas/minutes, and scopes of work.Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM Collaborate, Building Connected-Pro, and Microsoft Suite.Strong client relationship management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (Project Management).Experience with BIM Collaborate (3D Coordination).Experience with Building Connected-Pro (Bid Software).Proficient in Microsoft Products (Email, etc.).Professional representation with a positive leadership attitude.Proactive approach in resolving team, project, and client issues.Genuine spirit of leadership, guidance, mentorship, and innovative solutions.Strong interpersonal skills, communication, and a positive attitude.Ability to provide guidance and institutionalize best preconstruction and field management practices.Work Environment

The position requires working on-site five days a week, both indoors and outdoors. Work will take place in a trailer or at the office at the Pyramids. The environment includes travel to various job sites, and vehicle gas for project travel will be reimbursable. Employees will enjoy quarterly events/outings, two weeks of PTO, and potential project bonuses. As a salaried employee, benefits after 90 days include three weeks of PTO, medical, dental, vision, a 4% company match for 401(k), and allowances for vehicle and phone expenses.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $55.29
