Powers Health is hiring a Construction Project Manager!
Job Description:
The Construction Project Manager schedules and coordinates contracted services, develops construction scheduling of projects, establishes and maintains documentation on all projects. Works directly with architectural and engineering firms, has the responsibility of ordering materials for projects and providing follow-up on all project activities, as well as performing any other duties inherent to the job.
Schedules all design meetings, reviews all construction drawings, develops estimates, coordinates contracts/vendors and reviews all submittals. Manages all construction projects throughout the Community Healthcare System. Maintains all documentation for all construction projects. Reviews all construction contracts, payments, negotiates changes orders, and maintains master construction schedule Coordinates construction projects with Engineering Division at each respective facility, and coordinates all signage for new construction. Coordinates work with interior designers. Writes all construction purchase requisitions and includes supporting documentation. Develops Request for Proposals for Architectural and Engineering services. Reviews Architectural/engineering and construction bids for completeness and performs bid analysis. Reviews all construction change order requests for legitimacy and costs. Develops the Scope of Work for minor finish upgrades and equipment replacement projects. Works with State and local government regarding permits, variances, etc. Works with IDOH on SRA and confirmation that all projects meet FGI 2018 guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience will be considered. Minimum of 10 years construction management and 5 years supervisory construction experience required. Hospital/Healthcare construction experience required. Must be familiar with codes and standards related to: Joint Commission, ISDH, IDOH and NFPA. Proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent communication and organization skills. Ability to travel to hospital sites for construction projects.
