Construction Project Manager
Job Title: Senior Construction Project ManagerJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead our project teams in the successful delivery of complex heavy civil construction projects. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership abilities and a deep understanding of construction methodologies and industry best practices. Responsibilities + Lead and manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations. + Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, resource allocation, and budget forecasts. Adjust plans as necessary to accommodate changing conditions and project requirements. + Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders. + Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact. Proactively address issues to keep projects on track. + Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client specifications. + Promote a culture of safety on all project sites. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. + Monitor project budgets and financial performance. Approve expenditures, manage change orders, and ensure cost-effective project delivery. + Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and final project closeout documents. Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders. + Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to project team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. + Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with project plans, and address any issues that arise. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. + Experience in heavy civil construction project management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects. + Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. + Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Proficiency in project management software and tools. + Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. + 10+ years in Heavy Civil (Infrastructure, Bridges, Highways, Tunnels, Roadways, Substations, Railroads). + Bluebeam, Procore, P6. Additional Skills & Qualifications + PMP certification is a plus. + Experience with estimating software and construction estimating. + Experience in substation construction. + Heavy Civil project experience throughout Westchester and the 5 boroughs. Work Environment This role involves working both in the office and on-site in field offices. The team consists of over 250 members in the field and 40+ in the office. The work environment includes the use of software such as Bluebeam, Procore, and P6. The dress code is professional, adhering to safety standards when on-site. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $200000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
