As a Construction Project Manager at Nestlé, you will take charge of overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that each project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills will empower you to effectively guide your team and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. With your deep understanding of construction processes and safety regulations, you will navigate challenges and drive project success, making a meaningful impact on Nestlé's operations and initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensure alignment with client expectations and company objectives.
•Safety: Lead the construction team in the development and implementation of safety plans for the work execution. Coach contractors and Nestle project managers on safe working practices. Sign work permits for construction team and provide training on the permit process to contractors.
•Team Leadership: Lead and manage construction teams, including subcontractors, engineers, and laborers. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Daily management and site visits of work areas.
•Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability. Prepare cost estimates and manage procurement processes, working with contractors and engineering manager to ensure competitive quotes.
•Quality Control: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with Nestle standards, safety regulations, and building code. Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments.
•Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns. Work with site security to ensure ISN training and access to site for contractors.
•Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address challenges that may impact project timelines, budget, or safety.
•Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, OR working experience.
•Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role (10+ years).
•Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and regulations.
•Proficiency in project management software, tools, and permit to work.
•Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
Certifications (Preferred):
•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
•Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
