Position Summary: 

 

ISI is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager with expertise in the construction industry to provide Owner's Representative construction management services to a Department of Defense (DoD) client. The Construction Project Manager will work to support the Federal client on ongoing construction projects of various sizes and complexity.  The Construction Project Manager will provide a wide range of analytical and planning, design, and construction management support services to assist the client.  The position will support more senior government project managers and fellow contractor project managers, who will work as part of a larger design/construction program.  The ability to lead and work as a team AND work independently are critical.  ISI is seeking an individual who will be a clear communicator, takes initiative and embraces project ownership.

 

Responsibilities:

Supports a more senior project manager in the day-to-day management of 1 to 2 ongoing construction projects valued from $1M to $30M each.Assists the Government in conducting site evaluations, field surveys, and site visits to determine constructability and code compliance.  Develops draft scopes of work, validation of requirements, and participates in pre-bid conferences.Supports the Government’s development of technical requirements, scopes of work, cost estimate analysis and schedules for A/E services, to include studies, reports, and drawings review.Supports the Government’s tracking of construction progress, submittals, permit applications, organization of files, and invoicing as part of a larger team.Schedules and participates in weekly project progress meetings and monthly program progress meetings to evaluate schedule progress, identify departures from the accepted baseline schedule, and evaluate risk to long-term project and program health.Has the ability to work independently to track down requirements and data from other project managers or clients in a professional manner with complete and on time submissions.The position maintains construction administration data in Excel, web based software and files to be aggregated and used as metrics and briefing tools for senior leadership.Works with Project Managers to develop and track progress of project lifecycle milestone schedules and Government activities to insure timely delivery of the Government construction program.Regularly prepares and presents project status briefings, develops, and maintains performance matrixes, prepares well-written technical reports.  Prepares written and oral reports to Government leadership and program managers. 

 

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required: 

BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management with 5+ years of construction experience

OR
 An ACTIVE General Contractor/Construction Trades license with 10+ years of construction experience.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance (HSPD-12 fingerprint background check).

 

Preferred:

Pentagon WHS experience is highly sought after.

Work Setting/Environment/Travel Requirements:

Monday through Friday, Normal business hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

0-10% Travel – May need to travel to other Federal facilities within a 50-mile radius.
