Our client, a large construction company in Ventura, CA is seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Supervisor to oversee all aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of seven years of construction superintendent experience, possess exceptional communication skills, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and evaluate subcontractors, addressing performance issues promptly.Maintain and update project schedules using Smartsheet or similar software.Monitor project expenditures, identify variances, implement corrective actions, and manage RFIs to stay within budget.Enforce safety standards, coordinate with staff and subcontractors, resolve issues, and assist with change orders to achieve project objectives.Create and maintain a safe work environment by following legal regulations, conducting weekly safety meetings, and enforcing safety protocols.Stay updated on emerging construction practices and standards to continuously improve job performance.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum of 7-10 years in supervising tenant improvement and ground-up commercial and residential construction projects.Prior experience in residential construction is essential.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Procore, and Smartsheet.Familiarity with RFIs, Daily Reports, Submittals, and other construction-related documentation.Strong understanding of all construction phases from grading to interior finishes.Ability to perform quantity surveys from plans is a plus, along with an understanding of basic estimating formats and cost centers.OSHA certifications and/or first aid and CPR training are beneficial but not required; training will be provided.Must be located in Ventura or Santa Barbara Counties and be willing to commute to various job sites within these counties.
