Job SummaryThe Project Controls Analyst - Cost will support the T&D team to provide effective integrated project cost monitoring, tracking, budget variance, and provide cost. This role will also perform Quality Assurance and Control for the procedures, processes and key controls for Project Management Office (PMO) and Projects and Construction (P&C). The successful candidate will take the necessary steps to measure compliance and establish quality standards within all projects.
Job Responsibilities• Develop and implement comprehensive QA processes for Key Control Validation to measure compliance
• Annually review all Project Management Office (PMO) and Projects and Construction (P&C) procedures and revise if necessary
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of project processes and documentation to ensure compliance with QA standard and identify gaps to identify gaps and inconsistencies in procedures and key controls and recommend changes
• Conduct audits of P&C/PMO managed projects to measure compliance to applicable procedures, processes, and Key Controls.

b. Documents Management Audit
• Analyze the audit data and provide a summary QA/QC reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Implement QC procedures to monitor and control project activities.
• Lead SharePoint coordinator and Document Control
• Main point of contact for all internal and external audits
• Conduct risk analysis/assessments and ensure risk mitigation plans are being implemented
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO.

• Provide monthly updates to NEDLl.(New Equipment Database Long Island
• Provide monthly updates to the CWIP (Construction Work In Progress) aging reports to meet department and corporate deliverables and deadlines.
• Coordinate & maintain monthly cost data & reports in Excel and/or PTS
• Prepare URB Documentation (PCRs, PP slides, waterfalls, etc) for project cash flow approvals.
• Provide training and support to project teams on QA/QC processes and best practices.
• A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Construction and a minimum of 7 years of experience performing analysis, preferably in finance or utility construction.
• Experience with relevant software such as Microsoft Office products and possess the ability to quickly learn new systems and applications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively interface and communicate with people at all levels and across organizations.
• Demonstrated personal accountability and excellent organizational skills to deliver performance excellence.
• Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license and a safe and satisfactory driving history.
Desired Qualifications:
• Utility Experience
• Construction Experience
• Basic knowledge and experience with electric transmission and distribution systems.
• Knowledge of LIPA's (Long Island Power Authority) business operations, policies, and practices.
• Knowledge of Project Management (PMO) practices and understanding of corporate finance & budget practices is preferable.
• Experience in SAP, project scheduling and cost management.
