Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Quality Manager with a Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification to ensure the quality and compliance of construction projects. The ideal candidate will manage and oversee quality control processes, develop and implement quality plans, and ensure adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership, and a thorough understanding of construction quality protocols.Responsibilities:Quality Control Oversight:Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP).Ensure that all construction work adheres to project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular inspections, audits, and assessments of construction processes and completed work to identify and address quality issues.Compliance & Documentation:Ensure all construction activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, codes, and permits.Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, audits, and reports, including non-conformance reports and corrective action plans.Ensure all quality-related documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date for final project handover.Subcontractor & Supplier Management:Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that all materials, equipment, and workmanship meet required quality standards.Review and approve quality-related documents from subcontractors and suppliers, including material certifications and test results.Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor and verify the quality of subcontractor work.Quality Testing & Inspections:Develop and oversee testing plans for materials and equipment used in construction, ensuring they meet required standards.Coordinate third-party testing services and ensure that test results are documented and incorporated into project quality reports.Lead inspections at key project milestones, such as pre-construction, during construction, and at project close-out.Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions:Identify non-conformance issues and implement corrective action plans to address quality deficiencies.Track and resolve any deviations from project specifications, ensuring compliance before proceeding with subsequent phases of work.Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to mitigate risks and prevent quality issues.Client & Stakeholder Communication:Serve as the main point of contact for quality-related matters with clients, government agencies, and project stakeholders.Attend client meetings, provide regular quality reports, and respond to any client concerns or issues related to project quality.Ensure client satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of construction quality throughout the project lifecycle.Training & Continuous Improvement:Conduct quality training sessions for project teams, subcontractors, and other relevant personnel to ensure adherence to quality procedures.Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance quality processes, reduce errors, and improve project outcomes.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.2+ years of experience in construction quality management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification is required.Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and best practices (e.g., ASTM, ACI, OSHA).Experience with quality control processes on federal or large-scale construction projects.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and quality control tools.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with military or government construction projects.Familiarity with LEED standards and sustainable construction practices.Experience working in both commercial and industrial construction environments.
