Construction Roller Operator - Safford, AZ

**SWP Contracting & Paving, LLC is looking for a skilled Construction Roller Operator for our ongoing construction project in Safford, AZ** .
The Construction Roller Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery, primarily a road roller, to compact soil, asphalt, or other materials on our construction site.

**Responsibilities and Duties:**
+ Maneuvering the roller in a controlled manner, adjusting pressure and speed based on the material being compacted and project specifications.
+ Performing pre-shift checks, such as inspecting the roller for mechanical issues, fluid levels and safety features.
+ Compacting Surfaces with the roller to achieve the desired level of compact soil, asphalt and other materials.
+ Maintaining proper grade by following grade stakes and ensuring the surface being compacted is level and to specifications.
+ May be required to operate other various heavy equipment, including, but not limited to dozers, excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and scrapers.
+ Comply and understand company safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
+ Valid driver’s license
+ Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment.
+ Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and be exposed to elements.
+ Ability to work in a safety-sensitive construction setting, including exposure to moving machinery and heavy equipment.
+ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to commute to the job site.
+ Must pass company background check and drug test.
