Job Title: Construction Safety Manager

Job Description

An immediate opportunity has arisen for a Safety Manager due to growth. This role involves ensuring the safety of multiple construction projects from design through to commissioning.

ResponsibilitiesSupport multiple construction projects through design, build, and commissioning.Provide field safety oversight of work activities on construction sites and future state facilities.Ensure compliance with Local, State, and Federal health and safety regulations.Develop, implement, and maintain policies, plans, and procedures related to construction safety.Conduct and oversee contractor safety reviews and prerequisite processes for site access (pre-qualifications, pre-work assessment submittals, etc.).Partner on equipment safety transfer of risk processes for current and upcoming projects.Maintain strong communication between all organizations.Create and standardize policies for employees/contractors to follow that minimize job-related hazards.Ensure all contractor management EHS protocols and procedures are adhered to for all affected contractors on project sites, including pre-work requirements.Lead and document incident investigations to determine Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) outcomes.Lead and review the hazard analysis program and utilization of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Pre-Task Planning (PTP) tools.Perform frequent job-site safety inspections and procedural audits, taking immediate action when necessary.Essential SkillsAt least 1+ years of experience managing a safety program.OSHA 500 certification.OSHA 30 certification.Strong communication and writing skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word.

Work Environment

This role involves a split between office and field work, with approximately 50% of time spent in each environment. The position includes oversight of two safety specialists and any future hires. Initial onboarding and training will take place in the Phoenix office for the first six months. A company vehicle will be provided. Raises are given annually in June based on performance, with potential for merit increases and bonuses based on company budget goals. The position offers stability with a significant backlog of projects scheduled through 2030, providing ample opportunity for upward mobility.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.

- Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA) – You will be eligible to contribute pre-tax
dollars, up to a maximum amount of $3,200 per plan year to pay eligible health care expenses for
you and your dependents.
- Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) – You will be eligible to contribute pretax
dollars, up to a maximum amount of $5,000 per plan year, to pay eligible day care expenses
for your dependents.
- Employee Basic Life Insurance – One times your annual base salary provided at no cost to you
(up to $250,000).
- Employee Basic Accidental Death & Dismemberment – One times your annual base salary
provided at no cost to you (up to $250,000).
- Employee Supplemental Life Insurance – You will be eligible to purchase supplemental life
insurance coverage equal to one times your annual base salary.
- Dependent Life Insurance – You will be eligible to purchase coverage for your spouse and
eligible dependent children in the amounts of $5,000 or $10,000. Upon election, Pike will pay the
premium for the $5,000 benefit amount.
- Short Term Disability – If you are out for a non-work related injury or illness, you will be eligible
to receive your continued income for up to 26 weeks at no cost to you.
- Long Term Disability – If you are out of work for an injury or illness more than 26 weeks, you will be eligible to receive 60% of your weekly income. Pike pays the premium for this benefit for you.
- Supplemental Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) – You will be eligible to purchase AD&D in increments of $50,000, to a maximum of 10 times your annual pay or $250,000, whichever is less.
• 401(k) Retirement Plan – The Plan offers a variety of investment funds with various risk and return factors. You may elect to make contributions from 1% to 50% of your salary (subject to IRS contribution limits). Pike will match your pre-tax contribution as follows:
o Enrollment through year nine (9) of continuous employment – 100% match up to 3% of eligible pay;
o Year ten (10) through year fourteen (14) of continuous employment – 100% match up to 3.5% of eligible pay and match 50% of next 3% of eligible pay;
o Year fifteen (15 ) through year nineteen (19) of continuous employment – 100% match up to 4.0% of eligible pay and match 50% of next 3% of eligible pay;
o Year twenty (20) of continuous employment and beyond – 100% match up to 4.5% of eligible pay and match 50% of next 3% of eligible pay.
You become fully vested in the Pike match portion of your account when you have completed three continuous years of service with Pike; however, you are always fully vested in your own contributions to the Plan. The 401(k) enrollment material will be mailed shortly before your eligibility date.
