Compensation: $63,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on experience.
As a Sales and Estimating Specialist, you will oversee all aspects of the projects for which you are responsible, including coordination and completion. You will perform various tasks such as analyzing drawings, specifications, and addenda; setting deadlines; establishing schedules; procuring materials, tools, and equipment; and monitoring and documenting project progress. Additionally, as a Sales and Estimating Specialist, you may be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
Attends weekly sales meetings to review bid status and receive new tasks.Promotes company at trade functions, fostering customer relations.Attends pre-bid meetings as needed, and shares info with the estimation team.Analyzes drawings and specs for the full scope of work.Prepares detailed quotes, and logs bid info in the Sales database.Follow up on bids via phone, email, or visits to assess competitiveness, scope differences, and customer needs.Negotiates price and scope with a successful prime contractor.Sets up job files upon contract award, and verifies scope and conditions.Prepares and submits documents for contractor review and approval.Computes cost estimates for management purposes.Coordinates with the Production team on scheduling, materials, and logistics.Resolves construction issues with suppliers and contractors.Conducts job site visits, attends weekly meetings, and inspects work progress.Interfaces with contractors and clients to address concerns.Assists in billing projections and evaluates job costing.Reviews sales projections and backlog status for planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance; must meet insurability standards. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university (preferred)one- or two years related construction experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
