Christensen Farms is the largest shareholder of Triumph Foods LLC, a producer-owned primary pork processing plant in St. Joseph, Missouri. In turn, Triumph Foods members own 50 percent of Daily's Premium Meats, a specialty pork processor of bacon and other premium pork products. Triumph Foods also holds a 50 percent partnership in Seaboard Triumph Foods, LLC of Sioux City, Iowa, a primary pork processing plant.\n

Position Overview & Responsibilities: Lead the Construction Site Supervisor team providing direction as needed for flawless execution of capital projects using established procedures and tools. Expert use of project scheduling software (MS Project or Smartsheet), scope management and control, capital estimates and cost commitment tracker to deliver projects on time completion and on budget. Manage assigned projects to maximize staff productivity and career growth. Reinforce use of project teams for thorough feedback and input from functional partners and ensure the best possible project outcome. \n

Major Areas of Accountability:\n\nManage Construction Site Supervisors, assigning work, tracking progress including adherence to approved scope, budget, and published schedule.\nManage team project workload for equitable distribution of work, growth opportunities, and leveraging individual's strengths.\nLeverage team knowledge, experience, and expertise to establish CF equipment and design standards.\nLead the commission of equipment and control systems at the end of projects.\nDocument scope and budgets for projects. Partner with Supply Chain for best cost of materials and equipment.\nEstablish project teams for input\/participation from impacted functional groups. Ensure thorough communications via monthly reports, project team meetings and impromptu discussions.\nAssist in managing contractor relationships.\nPartner with M&R manager for major repair planning and budgeting.\nAssist in the design and engineer planning for large capital projects.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n

General\n\nHigh level of communication with Engineering service providers, Asset Department leadership and sub-contractors\nMust be willing to work a minimum of a 5 day and 40-hour work week with possibility of additional hours\/days as work responsibilities dictate\nUnderstanding of production operations and biosecurity protocols\nCleaning of company vehicle equipment to meet biosecurity requirements and to represent Christensen Farms in a highly professional manner\nSupport and contribute (through employee's own labor or through leadership and direction of contractors) to assigned work completion\nAssist, support, and collaborate with other CF departments as company needs dictate\nComputer proficient with MS Outlook, MS Project, Word, Smartsheet, and Excel\nObserve, always promote and enforce Christensen Farms safety policies \nCorrect and report any observed safety hazards\nComplete specified paperwork on time, including work orders, time sheets, purchase orders, inventory logs, mileage reports, etc.\nMaintain professional relationships with stakeholders and subcontractors\n\n

Education, Training, and Experience Requirements:\n\nTwo- or four-year degree in Construction-related field preferred or 5+ years industry experience with emphasis in supporting capital projects, managing large or complex capital projects preferably in an automated environment\nExperience with PLC's, VFD's, MCC's\nCapital Project Management experience from conception to finalized design, commissioning plan development and execution and final project close-out with budgets >$3 M\nDemonstrated success managing employees in a team environment. Successful in developing EE's via coaching, constructive feedback and hands on training.\nExperience with MS Project, Contracting, Bid Development Packages, troubleshooting, commissioning and start-up.\nKnowledge of building, electrical and safety codes\nMust have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and important information in a timely manner. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy. Some analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work. Ensures ethical representation in all facets of Christensen Farms. Ability to apply independent judgment in major areas of accountability. Strict adherence to company confidentiality.\n\n
