Basic Job Functions: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Traveling 20 plus hours of the work week (driving or by air) is common. Traveling a minimum of (3) days and as many as (5) days per week is expected. Some visits may be scheduled with (1) day notice. Jobsite visits will consist of but not limited to talking with customers/site foremen and walking building roofs, both completed and during construction.  Communicate with erectors and customers on a regular basis and demonstrate problem-solving skills through a dialogue with the field. A “question and answer” process will be common to sort out problems and define the most efficient, cost-effective solution. Involved in the investigative process of solving problems by working with individuals within the organization and by reviewing file information, shop drawings, and erection drawings. Provide customer/site feedback during divisional quality meetings and coordinate/conduct Erector Seminars, CICP schools, and various builder trainings. Expected to identify trends and problems and recommend solutions with a primary focus being on representing the needs of the steel erector and Builder.  Assist the internal quality team in various claims and back charge investigations/resolutions. Compose reports of jobsite visits. Other responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of Metal Building Experience with an understanding of steel erection and jobsite conditions. Strong product knowledge and understanding of metal building roof systems. Ability to travel to jobsites. Ability to climb ladders, ride lifts and get on roof systems. Background in computer use with skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Etc.
