Parsons is now hiring a Construction Management Specialist who can work as an integrated team member and trusted agent with Federal Project Directors (FPDs) supporting the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Parsons is hiring a Construction Management Specialist to provide construction management expertise and oversight as the owner's agent in support of minor construction projects at DOE’s Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). In this role you will be on-site to provide owners’ agent oversight of multiple construction projects across the site and communicate observations to the FPDs. You will monitor progress against the project schedules and work with the team to drive resolution of any outstanding issues. You will continuously monitor and report on all project objectives and their completion status and report the project’s performance versus contract requirements to the FPD. You will assist the LANL Field Office FPDs, and Parsons Project Management in preparation of project reporting. Responsibilities: + Serves as owner’s agent and main point of contact between federal and contractor project team members on multiple projects. + Monitors and reports on all aspects of assigned projects to the Parsons Project Manager and the FPDs. + Monitors projects using project reports, processes, checklists, and procedures as required to support quality control, permit compliance, and timely construction. + Works with team to prioritize schedules and provide project oversight. + Actively promotes and supports safety policies for good safety practices. + Ensures environmental permits for projects are in place and followed during construction (e.g., review implementation of stormwater pollution prevention plans – SWPPPs, site conditions, and ensuring regulatory actions are closed) + Participates in job meetings as required and provides updates to the FPDs. + Reviews project documents (e.g., designs, permits, submittals, and requests for information) and prepares responses as needed. + Proactively anticipates issues and works with project team members and FPDs to identify and implement corrective actions. + Provide project observations and feedback to FPDs. + Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications: + Ability to work and establish strong team relationships within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals. + 4-year degree in an accredited engineering or construction-related program, or equivalent construction-related work experience. + 8+ years' related work experience in field construction is required. + Must be willing to be on-site daily at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, NM. + Proven ability to perform independently and collaborate with the site team to meet field office requirements. + Excellent written and oral communications skills. + Proficiency in utilizing various software applications. + Active DOE "L" or "Q" or DoD "Secret" or "Top Secret" security clearance or ability to obtain one.
