Construction Superintendent

Actalent is searching for an experienced construction superintendent for community solar projects in Illinois

Job Description:

Our client has multiple community solar sites throughout Illinois, all approximately 1-2.5 MW.

Construction Supervisors will be responsible for managing the day to day operations/administrative duties on site. A typical day will start with them on site in the trailer and managing the construction of the project

They will be reporting directly to the Sr. Construction Manager for the projects and will be responsible for sending them daily reports of progress and safety

managing the sub vendors on site and working with the foreman from their sub vendors

Enforce safety/regulatory policies and procedures

Set daily/weekly productivity standards for contractors and subs

Develop 3 week look ahead schedule and work with the Sr CM to ensure schedule is met

Coordinate deliveries or equipment with logistics team and subs

Reviews print, project plans, and specifics on a daily basis

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must Have Skills:

Construction management experience - commercial (electrical or civil) but does NOT need to be in solar but that would be major plus –

Technical degree in Engineering or Construction Management or vast construction management experience

Must be able to read blueprints and schematics

Experience Managing sub vendors

Knowledge of PDF, word and excel (Microsoft Office). MUST be computer savvy

OSHA 10

OSHA 30 ( we can set them up with a class for this if theirs expired or if it is a really good candidate- talk to us about it before disqualifying a good candidate)

Nice to Have:

Solar experience

Electrician/electrical experience

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $48.00
