Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are searching for an experienced construction superintendent for community solar projects in Illinois. Our projects span multiple community solar sites throughout Illinois, all approximately 1-2.5 MW. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and administrative duties on site, starting their day in the trailer and overseeing the construction of the project.

ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day operations and administrative duties on siteReport directly to the Senior Construction Manager with daily progress and safety reportsManage sub vendors and coordinate with their foremenEnforce safety and regulatory policies and proceduresSet daily and weekly productivity standards for contractors and subcontractorsDevelop a 3-week look-ahead schedule and ensure it is met in collaboration with the Senior Construction ManagerCoordinate deliveries and equipment logistics with the team and subcontractorsReview construction blueprints, project plans, and specifics on a daily basisEssential SkillsExperience in construction management, preferably in commercial electrical or civil projectsTechnical degree in Engineering or Construction Management or extensive construction management experienceAbility to read blueprints and schematicsExperience managing sub vendorsProficiency in PDF, Word, Excel, and general computer savvinessOSHA 10 certificationOSHA 30 certification (assistance available for renewal or obtaining if needed)Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in solar constructionElectrician or electrical experienceWork Environment

The work environment is a solar construction site with a company trailer. The site will have multiple electrical and civil subcontractors present. Working hours are primarily Monday to Friday, generally 40 hours per week from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime must be approved by the supervisor and will not be common. The dress code is construction attire, including jeans, a t-shirt, and proper PPE

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.
