A well-established general contractor that works on a variety of projects ranging from retail, hospitality, commercial, healthcare, and restaurants is looking for a Construction Superintendent to support an active restaurant project. ResponsibilitiesOpen and manage job sites.Oversee project onboarding and ensure compliance with DOB requirements.Maintain rigorous quality control throughout all project phases.Conduct weekly meetings with subcontractors to ensure project alignment.Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.Manage all trades on-site, ensuring smooth coordination and execution.Maintain a clean and organized job site.Ability to occasionally work on the weekends.Essential Skills5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.Restaurant interior construction experience.Experience overseeing all Construction Trades on site.Ability to work on site 90% of the time.Proficiency in Construction Management software such as Procore, Rakan, or MS Project.Experience reviewing drawings, creating project schedules, look-aheads, and enforcing OSHA safety guidelines.Must hold OSHA 30 or SST and Superintendent license.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead meetings with subcontractors.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with healthcare or commercial projects.Valid driver's license.Work Environment
90% of the time on the field, 10% spent in the office.
Projects are throughout NYC and occasionally Long Island.
The company offers a supportive and dynamic work environment, with opportunities to work on prestigious projects in Lower Manhattan and Midtown. The office is located in the Empire State Building and the company has a family-oriented culture with many out-of-work activities such as happy hours and sporting events.
Hours
Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-3 or 4pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
