Construction Superintendent / Foreman
**Job Title: Superintendent / Foreman** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Superintendent / Foreman to oversee various commercial construction projects. This role involves leading a team of subcontractors, ensuring quality construction, and performing hands-on work. The typical work hours are 7 AM - 4 PM, with summer hours shifting to 6 AM - 3 PM, averaging 42 hours per week. Saturdays are occasionally required. **Responsibilities** + Oversee 4+ subcontractors on commercial projects including industrial, commercial, school, and healthcare buildings. + Use prints and schedules to oversee daily construction progress, visually inspect for quality, and document progress with daily photos. + Identify and correct discrepancies as per the prints. + Accept meeting invitations, read and respond to emails, and correspond with the office. + Take 10-15 photos daily to document the day's work progress. + Read and understand schedules and communicate effectively with subcontractors. + Self-perform metal-related work and labor tasks including installing commercial doors, hardware, door frames, and toilet room accessories. + Perform layout of walls and foundations, cut indoor openings, and assist with moving door openings in existing walls. + Work alongside the team for approximately 3 hours per day. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience in commercial carpentry. + Experience installing commercial doors, hardware, door frames, and bathroom accessories such as hand dryers, steel handlebars, and large mirrors. + Ability to run a crew or a job as a superintendent. + Experience with commercial projects, including steel, wood-framed/carpentry, and concrete. + Knowledge of foundation walls, piers, and spread footings. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and identify contour lines. + Willingness to split time 50/50 between working with hands and leading. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proficiency in leadership and problem-solving. + Experience in commercial construction, including concrete, wood/carpentry, and steel buildings. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
