Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our growing Resilience Water team in Western NY. This position may report to our Buffalo, Rochester, or Syracuse, NY office.
This role sits within our global business area of Resilience. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, we’re feeling the effects of climate change, rapid urbanization, and loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent.
Role accountabilities:
In this role, you'll collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and a dedicated team to provide exceptional client service, guiding them through programming, planning, and executing their projects. Your focus will be on supervising water, wastewater, and other projects from pre-bid through construction, leveraging your expertise in construction supervision to deliver outstanding results. You'll engage closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and end-users, showcasing a deep understanding of the entire process. Additional responsibilities include:
Providing onsite construction supervision services for our client’s projects in the areas of quality control, schedule management, cost and change management, document control, and project communications. Maintaining detailed daily field reports and as-built drawings. Producing project progress reports and briefings for the client. Reviewing contractor’s monthly payment applications and providing recommendations. Developing independent cost estimates for change orders during construction and assisting with change order negotiations with the client. Performing reviews of the contractor’s baseline and monthly schedule updates and recording field progress as it relates to the contractor’s schedule. Leading and conducting progress meetings in addition to developing meeting agendas and meeting minutes. Managing project documents and communications through contract/document management software. Establishing a culture of health and safety on the project. Traveling, as required, for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee construction activities..Qualifications & Experience:

10 or more years of relevant Construction Management related experienceKey skills & experience:
Experience in developing detailed daily field reports and monthly progress reports. Experience and knowledge of various construction trades such as electrical, HVAC, process mechanical, instrumentation and controls, plumbing and structural work. Experience in developing and maintaining punch lists, deficiency logs, and maintaining timely communications with the contractor. Water and Wastewater (treatment plants, pump stations, utilities) construction experience. Experience in construction management. Experience creating and updating project schedules in P6 scheduling software. Experience developing cost estimates. Proficiency in using smart technology and Microsoft Office. Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project is a plus.Preferred qualifications:

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $97,000 - $146,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
