Construction Supervisor

Our work spans from safeguarding and maintaining critical infrastructure to helping communities recover from natural disasters, from empowering our armed forces and first responders to reducing carbon and energy use, and from making cities more resilient against the threats of climate change to restoring contaminated ecological systems. **Job Overview:** Looking for candidate able and willing to work both short and long term projects on 6 U.S. military installations in the State of Alaska as part of USACE Programs. Candidate will be conducting recurring maintenance inspections and repairs (both planned routine and emergency) of the capitalized fueling systems at DoD facilities. The facilities in Alaska are located in Fairbanks, Anchorage, King Salmon, and on Shemya Island. **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Candidate will be directly responsible for performing recurring maintenance on military fueling systems. This includes calibration, testing, operation of valves and fueling equipment. It also requires good judgement and assessment of conditions of equipment and systems for long-term operation and maintenance. + Candidates will be responsible for on-site quality control and troubleshooting of technically complex service orders. + Candidates should possess a capacity for critical thinking to provide solutions for operational problems identified or discovered. + There is a substantial amount of data collection and electronic data management to ensure systems are operating properly and reported quickly. There is a considerable amount of computer work involved primarily via mobile devices (iPADs). Devices will be provided by Aptim. + Working conditions will also be exposed to jet fuel, loud environments, work in hot/humid conditions, work at heights, work in confined spaces/low light conditions and work in awkward positions. Safety training is required and will be part of job duties as required by project team. + Considerable field time can be expected, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, etc. + Candidates should be prepared to travel regularly to all installation locations noted. **Basic Qualifications:** + Candidate must have fueling system experience or equivalent - piping, mechanical work, fueling upgrades, tank work, coatings work, inspections, and repairs. Looking for functional expertise and broad business knowledge in tank inspection, cleaning and repair as well as fuel facility related piping systems. + Experience working on fueling systems in Alaska or similar environments desired. + Influences customer and/or organizational leadership to accomplish operational objectives + Candidate must have a strong safety background and focus + Considerable field time can be expected on his feet, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, etc. + Security clearance current or past a bonus **Who we are and what we do:** APTIM is a global industry leader headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
