Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor for community solar projects in Illinois. This role involves managing day-to-day operations and administrative duties on-site, ensuring the successful construction of solar projects ranging from 1-2.5 MW. The Construction Supervisor will report directly to the Construction Manager and will be responsible for providing daily progress and safety reports.
ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day operations and administrative duties on-site.Report progress and safety updates to the Construction Manager daily.Manage sub-vendors on site and collaborate with their foremen.Enforce safety and regulatory policies and procedures.Set daily and weekly productivity standards for contractors and subcontractors.Develop a 3-week look-ahead schedule and ensure it is met in coordination with the Construction Manager.Coordinate deliveries and equipment with the logistics team and subcontractors.Review and manage construction blueprints, project plans, and specifications daily.Essential SkillsExperience in construction management, preferably in commercial electrical or civil projects.Ability to read blueprints and schematics.Experience managing sub-vendors.Proficiency in PDF, Microsoft Word, and Excel.Technical degree in Engineering or Construction Management or extensive construction management experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsSolar experience is a major plus.Electrician or electrical experience.OSHA 30 certification
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00
