Job Summary:

As a consult liaison psychiatrist at Allina Health, you will provide psychiatric care for individuals experiencing complex mental health care needs during their medical admission. Your team is closely aligned with the Mental Health & Addiction Service Line across the Allina Health system.

Job Description:

Consults with providers to assist with ongoing management of the behavioral health needs of their patients.Develops behaviorally-focused, outcomes-based treatment plans of care that address mental health, functional impairment, and co-occurring addictive or medical disorders.Develops and lead staff education in psychiatric issues.May participate in on-call rotation.

Job Requirements

Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine required andCompletion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Psychiatry or foreign equivalency training requiredLicensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required and psychiatric board certification within 2 years of hire upon hire andACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required upon hire andDrug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required andPrescription Monitoring Program upon hire required andNational Provider Identifier upon hire required
