Job DescriptionOur Construction Advisory Practice consists of engineering and construction professionals with practical industry experience, who have advised on an extensive range of projects across multiple industry sectors in domestic and international contexts. Most of our professionals are either civil, mechanical, electrical or chemical engineers, quantity surveyors, or architects by training and background, many of whom have supplemented their technical disciplines with further commercial qualifications, including construction and contracts management, international arbitration and dispute resolution, finance and construction law.
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a Consultant to join our Construction Advisory team, who is looking to establish a career in engineering and construction focusing on claims and dispute resolution, delay analysis, project advisory services, construction cost analysis and controls, construction planning and scheduling. As a Consultant, you will be partnered frequently with subject matter experts, giving the unique opportunity to work with a diverse set of clients and projects. We are looking for high-caliber candidates who want to further their professional development through collaboration and provide thorough and objective analysis to assess and mitigate risks on complex projects and real-world construction issues. Assisting in advising clients in the construction and government contracts spaceReview and assess project change orders, including scope and costsReview and analysis of project schedulesLoss of productivity and inefficiency analysisCalculation of increased material and/or labor costs for damagesAnalysis of extended general conditions and other time-related costsReview of drawings and specificationsAssist in preparation of expert reports and presentationsQualificationsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with disciplines such as Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, etc. or Construction Management.Microsoft Office - Advanced skills preferred, especially in Excel, Word, and PowerpointBluebeam, Adobe, or other PDF management softwareScheduling software - Microsoft Project or Primavera ProductsPosition requires that you come into the New York office on a hybrid schedule.Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
