The Operations Practice (OPS) Area is one of BCG's largest functional practices. We help our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. BCG’s expertise in Operations covers the following areas - supply chain management, procurement, manufacturing, service operations, cost efficiency, operational transformation, research & product development, program and project management, all with a strong digital and analytics overlay.

 

Manufacturing & Supply Chain is the largest and most vital business line within BCG's OPS practice. Our work focuses on three key questions: a) What to produce, addressing make-or-buy strategies; b) Where to produce, optimizing production and supply chain networks; and c) How to produce, improving factory and warehouse operations with cutting-edge technology. We help clients enhance their competitiveness by improving value propositions, strengthening resilience, and driving sustainability. As part of our team, you'll work on strategic and operational projects, develop advanced tools, and collaborate with clients and technology partners to deliver impactful solutions.



What You'll Do

Support the development and implementation of innovative strategies in manufacturing and supply chain management to enhance operational efficiency.Conduct in-depth analyses to inform decision-making, offering strategic insights into manufacturing processes and supply chain optimization.Collaborate closely with client teams to deliver impactful solutions in manufacturing and supply chain projects.Communicate insights effectively, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder requirements in the manufacturing and supply chain domain.Serve as a key contributor in manufacturing and supply chain projects, applying your expertise to maximize operational performance and client impact.

What You'll Bring

Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience in Operations, particularly in the area of manufacturingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperienced in working with clients across various industries, helping them tackle their most difficult challenges and create sustainable value. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in team settings and interact with diverse stakeholders.Fluent oral and written language skills in German and English (C1 level each)
