Annuity Experience Consultant
The Annuity Experience Team seeks to define the goal state experiences across our partner and member lifecycle by understanding their needs & expectations when working with Nationwide. We translate that into a vision and roadmap for the future, drive planning activities, sponsor execution, drive desired benefits and measure progress towards the goal state.
This role will play a key role in shaping the future state of our partners and members across the pre-sale, new business, post-issue, and partner integration experiences. Key responsibilities include:
Consulting with project teams across the Annuity and Shared portfolios to ensure that we deliver an optimal experience for partners and membersCreating a “continuous feedback loop” to ensure the Annuity organization is well informed of the experience needs of our firms, Fintech partners, members and associatesCreating and executing a plan to drive adoption of new & existing experiences for partners and members (ie, electronic new business submission, self-service transactions, etc.)Creating and executing a benefits realization plan that defines, tracks, and executes on previously promised benefitsCreating and executing a communication plan inclusive of an Experience Scorecard to socialize the key activities and benefitsResearching competitor experiences and best practices and developing recommendationsResearching current state experience of our partners and members across channels and product types and developing recommendationsSupporting the creation and maintenance of the future state vision and roadmaps across the partner and member lifecycleRepresenting the Annuity Experience Team on the Innovation Council and other related activitiesThis role will work across all areas of the Annuity and Shared organizations and offer opportunities to grow your network and broaden your skillset. Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Serves as a technical professional in the analysis of pricing and design features, product, and profitability.
Actively finds opportunities for improvement and makes solution recommendations.
Provides support and guidance related to product design and management.
Provides high level, strategic input on key initiatives addressing product strategy and profitability objectives.
Participates and may lead new business development and implementation projects.
Works with Product Directors to predict needs and issues. Acts as a resource to Product Directors. Reacts appropriately to market conditions.
Identifies and evaluates business opportunities. Partners with leadership to provide a regular assessment of financial results and recommendations to increase future profitability.
Investigates and assists in development of new tools and technology to improve product performance.
Reviews and analyzes highly technical and sophisticated market information on benchmark competitors. Identifies options to keep products market-competitive.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director or Officer
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, marketing, or related field preferred. Graduate degree desired.
License/Certification/Designation: Industry designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM, CLU, FLMI, ChFC, CFP, NASD, etc.) preferred.
Experience: Typically, eight years of relevant experience in a related industry.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Demonstrated strategic decision making. Proficiency in the use of analytic tools, plans pricing and products. Ability to drive for results, navigate ambiguity and to understand strategic objectives. Ability to lead high profile projects. Ability to creatively present ideas in written form and through presentations. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
