Consultant, Supply Chain Inv/Purchasing

Responsible for managing supplier relations at a tactical level, may negotiate product cost, and utilizing terms and conditions, working with internal customers to reduce product cost, improve the supply chain and evaluate supplier performance, and executing purchase orders and manages raw material inventory.

Accountabilities in this role

Review requirements “MRP” and place orders for assigned products within appropriate time framesEnsure timely delivery of products, materials, and suppliesAssess, determine, and communicate resolution of supplier problems that pertain to service level and inventory issues; Phase In Phase Out  coordination (RM’s Savings Projects); Accounts Payable issues resolution - related to RM suppliers; Supply Chain Optimization (LSS Projects); RM Quality issues resolution / credit collection;  RM Inventory Management; Manage Supplier relationships.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal customers (manufacturing, warehouse, planning) and external customer (Plants in Mexico, Dominican Republic and other subcontractors).

Qualifications

Bachelor DegreeMinimum of 4 years of experience in a related fieldExperience with sourcing ideas and identifying/protecting intellectual propertySuperior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at all levels of technical ability and expertiseBilingual English/Spanish preferredExcellent skills in MS Excel, MS Access highly preferredExperience managing MRP systems preferredAPICS or ISM Certification desired
