NAOU transportation is a $1B annual spend with over 600,000 shipments.  The CO Strategic Transportation Team is responsible for ensuring we have the capacity needed from transportation providers to support the business at an optimum cost that also meets our service requirements to support our customers and facilities.   

 

Position Overview 

 

The Consultant, Transportation Administrator will be responsible for all tactical administrative tasks including all rate implementations, routing guide maintenance, and other actions needed to support proper freight tendering and freight payment.  This position is part of a fast-paced environment that requires you to be flexible, proactive, extremely accurate and efficient.

What You’ll Do for Us 

 

Implementation of all rates and commitments utilizing Rate Schedules and Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) 

All other OTM system updates (capacity limits, commitment allocations, etc.) 

Responsible for processing the weekly fuel surcharge program to ensure carriers are paid the appropriate fuel based on DOE weekly diesel fuel price changes 

Daily routing guide creation and weekly routing guide audit creation, as well as conducting the needed maintenance to support the audit results 

Communicate all announcements to carrier community (i.e., holiday notices, business changes, plant downtime, etc.) 

Monthly update and communication of carrier contact list to ensure all internal stakeholders have accurate contacts for conducting transportation business 

Quarterly update and communication of NAOU transportation contact list to all internal and external stakeholders to ensure carriers have appropriate NAOU contacts who handle transportation activities 

Freight settlement research 

 

Qualifications and Requirements 

 

College degree required (Supply Chain or Logistics) 

1-2 years of experience in a tactical transportation support role (preferred) 

Over the road transportation knowledge and skills 

Proficient skills in Oracle Transportation Management (or other transportation management systems) 

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.  

Strong attention to detail, interpersonal, and communication skills.   

Management of large amounts of data in an organized and accurate manner 

Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.

Pay Range:

$79,300 - $96,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
