YOUR IMPACT:
Resource will be responsible for Level 3 management of OSS Fault Management System (FMS) including vTeMIP platform, UOC. This includes all Operations & Maintenance activities as well as adding new enhancements, L3 resource will act as service owner for OSS FMS system providing technical governance and also mentoring for resources involved in Level 2 and Level 1 support of the FMS system, L3 resource will also coordinate with application leads of other integrated components and also with Infrastructure team who support the infra on which FMS systems are deployed.
As Service owner of FMS, L3 resource will be required to keep track of response and resolution SLAs of tickets reported for FMS domain and as Service Owner, L3 resource will be SPOC for customer and one of the key participant in operations review meetings.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:
Hands on experience required on HPE TeMIP or similar tools
Should have very good knowledge on OSS. With detailed knowledge of FCAPS functionalities - fault management, configuration management, Availability management, Performance management and Security.
Should understand complete Alarm lifecycle till the closure of alarm
Detailed knowledge on alarm enrichment, ALB(alarm bequtifier) concept.
Should be well aware of various correlation techniques and able to build based on customer environment
Should have expertise in working on Linux environment
Should have knowledge on databases including Oracle and big database platforms like Hadoop.
Should have detailed knowledge on CORBA, TCP, SNMP protocols.
Should have TeMIP system performance improvement skills
Should be able integrate new vendors/EMS's to TeMIP
Should possess detailed knowledge on alarm enrichment, ALB concept.
Should be able to do TeMIP Low level and high level filters creation and make changes where ever required
Good troubleshooting skills w.r.t typical TeMIP integrations with other solutions like NNMI/UCA/UTM/UTTL.
Owns development skills and able to understand, troubleshoot, define solution based on languages such as Java, Python, scripting etc.
Should have understanding on UMB, Kafka, Zookeeper.
Desirable to have understanding or experience of data analytics, AI/ML languages and technologies
Desirable to have understanding or experience of container/cloud technologies: AWS, Kubernates, Redhat Openshift
Should be able to write technical documents (ex: configuration guides, SOPs and troubleshooting documents with the steps to be followed to fix the issue and share with L1 and L2 team).
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study with 8+ years of experience.
Collect and analyse information in detail and see a situations from different perspectives, while providing solutions to complex problems and make decisions in the most effective way. Should look for opportunities to provide high value services to customer.
Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and also collaborate as part of O&M team. Should be able to work on the tasks independently without requiring monitoring. Build rapport and trust with client. Follow all defined processes, provide regular updates to customer and OT Operations Manager and other governance team members.
Should have good knowledge on OSS specifically key functional domain of Fault Management.
