Guidehouse’s Commercial Health IT Solutions team works with clients to measurably improve their technology outcomes through a mix of IT strategies, improvement in IT operations, and adoption of technology initiatives in cybersecurity, digital, AI, and data/analytics. By leveraging a deep understanding of health system IT operational best practices supported by data, Guidehouse drives IT operational improvement and technology adoption across departments and service lines at client provider organizations. 

 

We are currently seeking a Consultant with prior Healthcare Cybersecurity experience or a blend of relevant cybersecurity and consulting experience. This Consultant should have experience working with or in the healthcare cybersecurity space and have an understanding of or willingness to learn about the cybersecurity operations market. The successful candidate will be able to perform cybersecurity operational activities, contribute to cybersecurity solution development, and be adept at developing polished deliverables for clients in a cybersecurity consulting role.

What You Will Do:
As a Healthcare Consultant, you will collaborate closely with health systems and other healthcare clients, assessing their current cybersecurity posture and providing solutions, strategies and roadmaps that will make them market leaders. Your role will include contributing to guidance and recommendations to company C-Suite executives, supporting them in making informed decisions that drive business success and market differentiation within the health system and digital health landscape.

Responsibilities Include:

Working to become a healthcare information technology subject matter expert on projects involving cybersecurity strategy and governance.Contributing to the day-to-day cybersecurity advisory and operational activities for provider clients. Work may include cybersecurity peer benchmarking, cybersecurity posture analysis and related recommendations on opportunities, cybersecurity program structure and operating model review, identification of automation and AI opportunities, vendor analysis and analysis of clients’ current cybersecurity programs and operations.Analyze cybersecurity market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making and innovative solutions.Contribute to strategic guidance and actionable insights to company C-suite executives, leadership, and/or board of directors for informed decision-making.Support business development activities such as identification, proposal development, and other pursuit activities at healthcare clients.Meet / exceed established utilization goals.



What You Will Need:

Associates degree 3+ years of professional experience in information technology or related fieldsAbility to demonstrate an understanding of cybersecurity trends and emerging technologiesAbility to demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skillsA current cloud security certification issued by AWS, Google, Microsoft, or GIACDemonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment



What Would Be Nice To Have:

Education:

Bachelors degree (Concentration in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Healthcare or related field highly preferred)

Professional Certifications:

PMP, CISSP highly preferred

Advanced Analytical Skills:

Experience with analysis tools and methodologies to extract insights and drive decision-makingAbility to interpret complex datasets and present findings in a clear and concise mannerAbility to present cybersecurity topics to internal and external customers

Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, electronic health records (EHR), and digital health platforms is preferredFamiliarity with healthcare cybersecurityFamiliarity with cloud security

Continuous Learning and Development:

Willingness to stay updated on industry trends, attend cybersecurity conferences, and participate in relevant training programs, including training of other staffCommitment to personal growth and professional development, seeking out opportunities to expand knowledge and skills

The annual salary range for this position is $77,000.00-$129,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
